These socks are Knitted with unblended 100% Shetland wool yarn that we import from a mill in Scotland. This mill hand picks it Shetland wool from the Shetland Islands. The mill has been producing Shetland wool yarns from the same location going on 300 years. They are known for producing the finest Shetland wool yarns in the world. The Shetland wool sock is very comfortable and unmatched in warmth and moisture wicking ability. The Shetland wool sock does feel coarse to the touch when it is new, but it is not itchy, and gets softer with each washing. We do add stretch nylon thread to plait the sock during the knitting process in order to add durability, and create the terry cushion effect on the inside of the sock. Wool is highly breathable, thermo-regulating, moisture-wicking, and odor resistant. Designed and manufactured in Canada with imported Shetland wool from Scotland.

- Machine wash cool, gentle wool cycle, with like items to avoid twisting, tumble dry very low heat. For best results hand wash and lay flat to air dry.

These are such great socks to have. They are amazingly comfortable, very warm, and durable. They are great for it is hanging around the house or inside a good pair of boots.
