Made In Canada
At Motley Woollens, we believe your feet deserve the best. That's why we use Merino wool in our socks—it’s soft, natural, and packed with benefits that make it perfect for every step of your day.
What is Merino Wool?
Merino wool comes from Merino sheep, which are known for producing some of the finest and softest wool in the world. Unlike traditional wool, which can feel itchy, Merino wool is much finer and softer, making it ideal for wearing directly against your skin.
At Motley Woollens, we are proud to craft our socks with 100% unblended Merino wool yarn. To ensure a perfect fit and lasting durability, we knit in stretch nylon and Spandex for that “hug your feet” feeling.
Made in Canada, Start to Finish
As a family-owned sock mill in Okotoks, Alberta, we take pride in keeping our entire sock-making process right here in Canada. Our Merino wool comes from a spinning mill in Ontario that’s Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) certified, ensuring sustainability and ethical practices.
Why Choose Merino Wool for Your Socks?
Merino wool is packed with features that make it a top choice for socks:
- Softness: Forget the scratchy feel of traditional wool—Merino is soft and itch-free.
- Temperature Regulation: Keeps your feet warm in winter and cool in summer.
- Moisture Wicking: Absorbs sweat, keeping your feet dry and comfortable.
- Odour Resistance: Natural antibacterial properties keep socks fresher longer.
- Lightweight and Breathable: Great for all-day wear without feeling bulky.
Perfect for Every Activity
Whether you’re hiking, working, or just relaxing at home, Merino wool delivers. Its natural properties provide unmatched comfort for outdoor adventures, long workdays, or cozy evenings.
At Motley Woollens, we design our socks with features like graduated leg tension, arch support, a cushioned sole bed, and reinforced wear areas to give you durable comfort in every pair.
